Cocktail sausages always makes a buffet better

As John Lennon and Yoko Ono say “so this is Christmas, and what have you done, another year over, and a new one just begun” (Well, nearly). I’d say this year has been pretty busy; some huge experiments (even by our standards), got the chance to present a poster at an international conference and I’ve also changed my job role (a bit). The year also ended with my debut as a tweeter!!

Pastries and pesticides

Meetings had been something that were quite alien to me until I came to Rothamsted. I think it depends on the size and dynamic of your research group. When I was at Sheffield University, our group was very small and meetings was just something that we didn’t really do. But now meetings have gone to the other end of the scale, I have a minimum of one a week!!
